Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses SamSignatureMaker. By creating a signature or subscribing to a plan you agree to them.
What the service does
SamSignatureMaker lets you create a handwritten signature — by drawing it, typing it in a handwriting font, or uploading a photo of one — and download it as an image. It also lets you place that signature into a PDF or a Word (.docx) document.
Creating and downloading a signature is free and does not require an account. Paid plans add extra download formats and higher resolution.
Signing a document happens **inside your browser**: the file is opened, drawn and written on your own device and is never uploaded to us.
Accounts
You do not need an account to use the product. An account exists so a signature you save follows you to another device, and so a paid plan can be attached to you.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
Your signature and your documents
Your signature and your documents are yours. We claim no rights over them and we do not use them for anything other than giving you the feature you asked for.
You are responsible for the signature you create and for how you use it — including making sure it is your own signature, or that you are authorised to use it.
Electronic signatures are not legal advice
In many countries an electronic signature is legally binding, but the rules differ by country and by document type, and some documents must be signed on paper or before a notary.
SamSignatureMaker is a drawing and file tool. It does not verify identity, does not certify who signed, and does not produce a qualified electronic signature. Whether a signature you make here is valid for a particular document is your decision, not ours.
Plans, billing and renewal
Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. Prices are shown on the pricing page and are charged in US dollars (USD); other currencies on the site are shown at the day’s rate for information only.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Payment is taken through our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Max starts with a 3-day free trial. We ask for a payment method when it begins, but nothing is charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and the first payment is taken then.
If a payment fails, we may retry it and pause your plan until it succeeds.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the “Manage subscription” link on your account page, which opens your billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then moves back to the free plan.
Refunds are described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Fair use and limits
Each plan sets how many signatures you can keep in your account and which download formats are available. These limits are shown on the pricing page and inside the product.
We may pause an account that goes far beyond normal use or that harms the service for others.
What you may not do
You may not use SamSignatureMaker to forge another person’s signature or to sign a document you are not authorised to sign. The full list is in our Acceptable Use Policy. Breaking it can end your access without a refund.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Because documents are processed in your browser, a failure there can also depend on your device and browser.
Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will show it on this page with a new date before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
